Answer: Yes, you can. We recommend that you visit www.tullverket.se (Sweden) or www.tulli.fi (Finland). You can also go to www.sjv.se and get more information from the Swedish agricultural department.

Are there a lot of ticks in Åland?

Answer: It depends on where you are. Some places have more ticks than others. Most important is how you dress. If you are going to the forest or in high grass: don’t go with bare legs. Remember to remove the tick as soon as you find it. The health centre can also help you remove ticks.

Answer: According to the right of common access you should camp at tourist sites intended for this purpose. If you want to camp somewhere else, you need permission from the landowner to stay overnight.
